Soccer camps for kids ages 5-13 years old.

Join us at P.O Reinaldo Salgado park for a fun day of soccer and games. Spend the day learning new moves, & pushing yourself to the limit. See below for more details.

Bedstuy schools out soccer camps, offer a fun and interactive full day experience to keep all our Bedstuy soccer players active and engaged during their next school vacation. Our passionate coaches arrange a full day lesson plan from their warm up activities to the cool down ensuring kids slowly get accustomed with the idea of enjoying organized sports. This class also introduces the idea of sharing and helps our young toddlers understand the idea of succeeding or sometimes failing at mini tasks. Overall the goal is to keep them running behind the ball.

FAQs

What is the camp ratio ?

Our soccer camps have ratios of 10:1 or 12:1 depending on ages.

What happens in extreme heat ?

We take camper health and safety extremely seriously.  In the case of extreme summer heat we take caution with the following:  

  • regular water breaks

  • shorter period of activity broken up by time in the shade

  • ensure campers are wearing sunscreen and a hat (if desired). 

  • giving campers an option to sit out activities and sessions 

  • option of indoor field for younger campers

  • keeping a close watch on campers with medical conditions that can be aggravated in extreme heat, e.g. asthma.

What should I bring to camps ?

Each player should bring the following to camp each day with everything labeled:

  • Mask

  • Backpack

  • Water bottle(s) — there are coolers and water fountains to refill.

  • Sunscreen

  • Sneakers (can bring cleats as well, but must bring sneaker just in case we go to indoor field)

  • Snack

  • Extra change of clothes

  • Don’t bring a soccer ball (Staff will provide them)

  • Lunch*

  • Optional: Hand Sanitizer

*Full day campers only

What is the earliest I can drop my child ?

Drop off time for campers is between 8:45–9:00am

What happens if it rains ?

Camp is always on as scheduled. We have an overhang shelter from the rain conditions when it is raining heavy. If there is thunder and lightning, we follow guidelines provided by the Department of Health.

Where are the camps held ?

Camps are held at the P.O Reinaldo Salgado field or the Herbert Von King Park. Please email Info@bedstuysc.com for further information if needed.
